Please tell us:

Home visits

House visits are obtained by telephoning the surgery before 10.30am and will be made only to those patients unable, due to illness or disability, to attend the surgery.

House visits are not expected for social difficulties such as problems with transport.

Please request your house visit as soon as possible; house visits requested after 10.30am will normally be done the next day.

You will be asked to leave a telephone number with the surgery in order that a GP or Practice Nurse can contact you should further information regarding the request be required. It may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Telephone Consultations

Telephone consultations with a GP or Practice Nurse are available to book. These are useful if you are unable or feel it unnecessary to attend the surgery if you wish advise, without examination, or need to discuss medication or results.

The Receptionist will offer you a day when the Doctor or Nurse will call you back. Please note you will need to leave a contact number and must be available to answer the call on the day given.

If you receive a call from an NHS department, including our surgery, the number will show as 0800 6783393. The caller ID will not show as the surgery number.
